Kirsty Logan reads "Things We Say in the Dark? Short Tales of Femininity and Desire" on January 26.

From within a local bookshop in Dortmund, prize-winning Scottish author Kirsty Logan will take us on a journey through her short stories on January 26. Drawing on stories from different publications, including her recent No & Other Love Stories (2025), the stories selected for the reading touch on femininity and desire. The reading will allow glimpses into the worlds Logan crafts, whether they are beautiful or terrible. Ranging from gothic and horror writing to fairytales, Logan's style is deeply evocative, appeals to many readers and resonates with contemporary social debates around gender and sexuality.

Due to limited seating, please register with Christina Slopek-Hauff (christina.slopekhauff@tu-dortmund.de) to attend the event!
